S-800 handheld power meter is a new generation of high-performance optical network testing instruments with cost-effective and unique characteristic of rapid field testing. Its a comprehensive optical power meter which adopts the advanced laser detection and processing technology for optical network opening, maintenance and instruments development.

It can be used to optical power measurement in the wavelength range of 800nm-1650nm for the units of UwdBdBm and show the high precision of the measurement. There are four wavelength calibrations: 850nm, 980nm, 1310nm, 1550nm. It is for linearity or non-linearity measurement, show the optical power, can be used for not only the direct optical power measuring but also the relative optical power measuring. Meanwhile, it features measurement data storing with page up/down function. It can be widely used for LAN, WAN, MAN, CATV, long-distance fiber network systems and other various testing occasions. Combined with laser power source, it can identify fiber, testing fiber loss and continuity accurately, and help to evaluate the transmission quality of fiber-optic chain.
